Copper Corrosion Bath as per ASTM D130 The copper Strop Corrosion bath determines the relative degree of corrosivity of petroleum products. The copper strip is immersed in 30 ml of oil sample at elevated temperature. After the completion of test , the copper strip is examined for presence of corrosion and a classification number from 1- 4 is assigned based on a comparison with the ASTM Copper Strip Corrosion Standard Charts. For aviation fuels and natural gasoline the sample tube is placed inside a stainless steel bomb during testing. Drop Point of Grease Wide High Temperature Range The ASTM D2265 dropping point tester is used for high temperature grease testing than the ASTM D566 method. This equipment uses a different heating procedure as compared with ASTM D566. The test cell is inserted in an aluminum block oven maintained at a constant temperature that is higher than the expected dropping point of the sample. The sample temperature then rises to the dropping point without operator control. The equipment can be offered with Two / Four / Six sample testing capability. Maximum Temperature is 400 °C.

Leakage Tendencies of Wheel Bearing Grease tester, As per ASTM D 1263 This test method for Grease testing determines the tendency of grease to separate oil or grease under prescribed laboratory operating conditions. The test is performed at a high temperature in a modified automotive spindle-hub assembly rotated at the speed of 660 rpm. Any leakage of oil or grease during the test period is collected and weighed. The equipment is made of stainless steel oven with forced air circulation.The temperature is controlled by PID Controller. ASTM D-3427, IP 313 The ability of a turbine, hydraulic, or lubricating oil to separate entrained air is a key performance characteristic in applications where agitation causes a dispersion of air bubbles in the oil. To determine air release properties, the sample is heated to a specified test temperature and blown with compressed air. After the air flow is stopped, the time required for the air entrained in the oil to reduce in volume to 0.2% is the air bubble separation time

Penetrometer Penetrometer is a laboratory instrument used to determine the consistency (penetration value) of stiff and semi-solid materials in terms of DOP (Division of Penetrometer). The test is based on measuring the depth of penetration of a standard cone or plunger into the sample under its own weight for a specified time. The instrument consists of a precision circular dial calibrated in DOP, a plunger assembly, a standard cone with specified dimensions and mass, calibrated weights, and a sample cup. The penetration occurs due to gravitational force, and the depth achieved after a fixed time interval is directly read on the dial.
