Copper Corrosion Bath as per ASTM D130 The copper Strop Corrosion bath determines the relative degree of corrosivity of petroleum products. The copper strip is immersed in 30 ml of oil sample at elevated temperature. After the completion of test , the copper strip is examined for presence of corrosion and a classification number from 1- 4 is assigned based on a comparison with the ASTM Copper Strip Corrosion Standard Charts. For aviation fuels and natural gasoline the sample tube is placed inside a stainless steel bomb during testing. Circulation system – Heavy duty capacitor run motor with stirrer to help maintain uniform temperature across bath media. Heater – immersion heater fitted to help achieve above ambient temperature. Heater connected to PID output heater wiring done using Teflon coated cable Temperature controller & instrumentation - fully automatic microprocessor based PID controller having feather touch key board. Display indicating temperature with resolution of 0.01& the controller is having splash proof membrane with PT - 100 sensors. Features 6 place constant temperature bath. 4 No lid with hook to lay low-pressure bombs. Digital temperature controller with PT-100 sensor. Temperature range from ambient to 100°C, ± 1°C. RPVOT : Rotating Pressure Vessel Oxidation Stability Test As per ASTM D 2112, D 2272, IP 229, IS:12958-1990: The Equipment is used to evaluate the oxidation stability of new and in-service engine, turbine and insulating oils in the presence of water and a copper catalyst. Features : 2 Nos. of Rotating pressure vessels oil bath on castors. Digital electronic temperature controller with safety mechanical fail-safe thermostat. Heavy duty drive motor to rotate pressure vessel at 100 rpm and is housed below the oil bath. Rotating pressure vessel constructed of stainless steel with stem and valve to receive pressure transducer. Pressure vessel is held at an angle of 30° Capacity of bath is 70 litres with stainless steel body and top cover.
